Class Dojo

In Room Four we have started a new system to encourage our class to learn together. This is called Class Dojo. In Spohie's report you can hear how excited the students are about the system. She explains with the help of Metara the system.

Here is a short break down of the system with images to help you understand.

Each person in the class is assigned a "monster", these monsters are given either positive or negative feedback. We really want to celebrate the positives. The students can be given positive points for the following things:

However they also can be given negative points for the following things:

We are aiming to have 8-10 points by the end of the day. If we manage this we will get our stickers for our sticker charts.

This system enables us to have parent accounts!

As a parent, if you sign up you can have a look and see how your child is doing in class. You can see a wheel similar to this wheel that is for the whole class. It breaks down which point has been given for what. It also will show you the percentage of positive!

The students were working very hard on Friday to earn enough points to be able to change their "monster". If they received enough points they were given a code. You can sign on through the website:

www.classdojo.com/student

When you have got there the page will look like this:

You need to choose a username. This has to be something you remember. I suggest using your whole name. It will drop down to have a menu that looks like this once you have chosen a username.

Click "Sign Up"

Then....

You will have a screen that says" "Good Job!" Write down your username so you don't forget it. WRITE YOUR USERNAME DOWN! (I don't think I can find this back out for you!)

Then you will come across a page that looks like this. This is the page that you need to write the code on that is on the piece of paper I gave you and the email address that I sent the email invite to your parents from.

Then you will come across this page:

Now you can customize your monster! Click on the option at the top of the page and you can start!
